Want to be rich, lose weight, and look good naked? Buy this wine.
I am not much of a white wine lover, let alone dessert wines but this wine really hits the spot. It is a little young, but you would not be able to tell the difference. If you never have had a Riesling, this wine will cause you fall in love with anyone you drink it with.

This wine is the last of the bunch from a Sunday run to find alcohol, for research purposes only. It was a fitting wine to finish up on, offering a category we have yet to review on.
The smell of this wine is of apples and apricots, reminding me of spring. Very bright and fresh to the nose. Clear and crips apple flavors, with hints of cinnamon. The finish is quick, leaving bits of fruit as it fades away. Not overly sweet, well rounded.
I’ve had some better Rieslings, but can’t complain. This wine is very interesting.

Finally, the bottle of Oliver Winery Soft Red is finished and we can move onto something enjoyable. I was waiting in eager anticipation, watching the Soft Red get tipped over then tipped some more. Horray, it was finally over and now I can try ANYTHING else.
3 Blind Moose is a well built Chardonnay. The smell is light with ample citrus notes. It’s taste is fresh, oaky, but with perhaps too much butter tones. Properly sour body, citrus-orange, with short highlights. It finishes off overly rounded with little crispness, that lasts long.

This tasting was at the end of the Senior Editor and my visit to Broad Ripple’s Corner Wine Bar. Although the heat was up to around 90, this wine was still somewhat chilled and very enjoyable. I’m sure this wine would have been better a few degrees cooler.
This Sauvignon Blanc had a great aromatic, crispy, nectar-lime smell. Hints of clove and black pepper were hidden throughout but made a full bodied appearnce at the finish. While the finish was short, the flavor remained complex, not overly sweet as I find most white wines.
“Fresh Grapefruit and lime with a near-perfect balance.”

I liked Kendall-Jackson’s chardonnay so I decided to give this one a try.
No dissapointment here. The nose was very fruity and had hints of melon, pear, and lime. The taste was very crisp and refreshing with lots of forward fruit. I had this wine with a light pasta and that seemed to not be the best match, but the lable suggests grilled fish.

Yellow Tail, the Ford or Chevy of Australian wines so it is allowed to disappoint once in a while.
At $4.99, I did not have high expectations and this wine did not give me any surprises. The nose was rather weak but did display peachy vanilla and coconut aromas, as claimed on the bottle. I just would not use the phrase “leaps from the glass”. This wine was easy to drink, I guess, because I forgot about the whole experience after the bottle was gone. Don’t get me wrong, It is not a horrible wine, I have just had better chardonnays (Pepperwood Grove). Probably good with chicken or pasta but no need to rush out and get this baby.

Wow, Pepperwood Grove can’t seem to make a bad wine if they tried. If they had shares of stock I would buy it up like street crack. My boss has reviewed their Cabernet and won’t shut up about it. Equal props to their chardonnay. Probably one of the best chardonnays I have had thus far.
As the name implies, “Pepperwood”, this chardonnay has a spiciness that I love. The nose as well as the tast is full of flavor that exhibits bright tropical fruit and oaky hints. No bullshit about this one. Crisp and bright, but it is not 7Up damnit, and has a long soft finish. I am a red wine lover by nature but I will break from the ranks time and time again for this bitch.

What can I say when I am not inspired to say anything. This wine was a little pricy(8 – 9 dollars) so I had great expectations. I would not bring this wine home on a friday night trying to impress somebody, unless you wanted to use it as a salad dressing. The label claims this wine gives the hint of fig, citrus, and a little gooseberry, but I really could not pick up on that unless I was standing next to some fruit.
