Pepperwood Grove Pinot Noir 2004
April 14th, 2006
Smooth drinkin. This was a good Pinot Noir and the first Australian Pinot that I have tried also. Of course, any wine with Australia stamped on the front of it seems incapable of dissapointment. At $5.99, it is a steal (but don’t raise prices please). Pinot Noir is a very versatile wine, nothing really comes across too striking to give a bad impression from start to finish.
As with most Pepperwood Grove wines, the aroma is intense and long lasting. I smelled the cherry and strawberry forward fruit consistent with what was claimed on the label. The flavor really came out more as the wine warmed 58-61F, and before I knew It, the bottle was done. It does not seem to get any easier; buy a bottle of this pinot noir or any pinot for that matter and you are safe with most foods and most occasions (excluding football games and dodgeball). I can’t wait to try the California version from Pepperwood Grove so I am off to the grocery store and the bank to take out another wine loan.

Pinot Noir, I wish I could quit you. Not. Again not one of my favorite Pinots. The price was 8.00 so I had higher expectations. California Pinots are world renown, so your chances of finding a good one are pretty high. The nose was rather weak, supposedly black cherries and plum, but was quickly made [...]... - Casarsa Pinot Noir 2004
I was kinda excited to try this one since I love Pinot Noir. Casarsa Pinot Noir was somewhat of a big dissapointment. The aroma is similar to pinot Noir but the textures were really bland and the taste was down right watery. I could not detect a whole lot of fruit as claimed on the [...]... - Pepperwood Grove Chardonnay 2004
Wow, Pepperwood Grove can’t seem to make a bad wine if they tried. If they had shares of stock I would buy it up like street crack. My boss has reviewed their Cabernet and won’t shut up about it. Equal props to their chardonnay. Probably one of the best chardonnays I have had thus far. [...]... - Parker Station Pinot Noir 2005
I have made confessions in the past of my love for Pinot Noir, but I might pass on the Parker Station version. I tried this wine outside at a local wine bar and the intense heat may have ruined the wine but I will give it my honest opinion. This wine is made from the [...]... - Talus Collection Pinot Noir
Oh no, Pinot! I’ll start off this review with a disclaimer, I am unfamiliar with Pinots. I’ve had, perhaps, three bottles in my lifetime so this may be the start of my taste buds adjusting to what Pinot Noir can offer. For now, though, I am not very impressed. I decided to give the Talus [...]...

I totally love the Pepperwood Grove Pinot Noir. I am confused though and would appreciate someone helping me to understand the following: I have had this wine at different restaurants but some bottle have indicated the wine is from Chile and others from Australia. I wanted my local wine store to get this for me and he said is was California. Can someone help to demysitify this for me? Thanks.
